YCore has partnered with over 100 nonprofits in the Bay Area.

Elliot, Prison Advocacy Coordinator at Ella Baker Center for Human Rights.

"YCore has equipped our small but mighty department with a bad-ass project team full of compassionate, brilliant, and dedicated people who are infusing our work with the support, capacity, and expertise we need to understand and deepen our impact."

We prioritize partnering with organizations that….

  • You have a clear mission that advances critical changes to the current inequitable systems in our society and community—beyond the core services you provide to meet short-term needs.

  • Your organization is led by and/or works closely with those who have been directly impacted by the inequitable systems you aim to dismantle. You build programming and services based on the needs of clients in your community (and adapts as these needs change). You strive to put more decision making power in the hands of the community. Currently, organizational decisions are made alongside community members’ input, consent, and feedback.

  • You are based in the Bay Area. You have a dedicated staff member that is enthusiastic about working with us. This person will serve as the point of contact and commit up to 2 hours/week for the duration of the program. This includes weekly or bi-weekly check-ins with the project team over the phone or in person.

How it works

  • Partnership Model

Work closely with a team of 4-5 fellows as they design and execute a project that addresses your organization’s unique needs. We prioritize listening and shaping our goals together with each partner, so no two projects will look exactly alike.

  • Projects Designed for You

Our projects tackle everything from data management to user research to marketing strategy. Our fellows are engineers, designers, marketers, salespeople, product managers (and more!), and we’ll match their skills to your needs.

  • Lifelong Advocates

Fellows are just as eager to learn from you as they are to share their skills. Many YCore fellows become long-term volunteers, associate board members, and advocates for their partner organizations.
