Friends for Youth is a nationally recognized, award winning direct-service agency with an over four decades history of measurable success matching youth with caring, adult mentors.

Alumni of the 1:1 mentorship program became detached with Friends For Youth post-mentorship, and did not know how to contribute to Friends For Youth after the one-year commitment; newer mentors lacked assistance in the beginning of the relationship, especially when it came to navigating difficult situations and building relationships with their mentees

YCore fellows defined and built out a FFY alumni retention program, and created cohorts of senior mentors to newer mentors in the beginning of their mentorship cycle.
